Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
Riserva 2010

98 points James Suckling: " "Here is a Brunello with so much refinement and class combining cherry, tea and tobacco character. Full and so very polished. The length and intensity is fabulous. Incredibly powerful tannins that remain refined. Give it three or four years. Better after 2018 but fabulous now"."

A perfect year in San Polino. Following a relatively wet winter, a cooler than usual spring delayed the onset of growth in the fields. Significant temperature swings between night and day in late summer, favoured acidity and polyphenol development. A near constant  breeze ensured grape health, and we bagan harvesting at the beginning of October, in great weather, the grapes having achieved an overall perfect maturation.
